CORONAVIRUS - SPREAD RISK IN HOSPITALITY

One thought that probably plagues many of us in light of the current situation is how we can protect ourselves from the new type of corona virus. Is it particularly dangerous to go to a restaurant now? How hygienic and sterile it is to drink and eat there at the moment??How are they Hhealth regulations for restaurateurs regarding Corona

Coronavirus has not yet been transmitted through food or consumer goods

You can breathe a sigh of relief and don't have to cancel your reservations or planned restaurant, bar or café visits. According to theGerman hotel and restaurant association DEHOGA federal association exists so far no scientific evidence that the virus can be transmitted through products, utensils, or food . This also confirms thatFederal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and theConsumer advice center because there are so far no cases of illness resulting from the consumption of imported or regional foods .

Germs and bacteria die in the dishwasher

The coronavirus is one of the viruses which are not particularly heat resistant are. Its "shell" is destroyed by high temperatures. Most pathogens die from 56 degrees Celsius - and that also applies to Corona. Because although this scares many people more frightened than conventional flu viruses, it is still no more heat-resistant than other germs of this kind. Modern dishwashers, such as those found in private households and catering kitchens, wash at 60 degrees Celsius and rinse at 85 degrees. This ensures that the virus cannot survive when it is cleaned in the dishwasher! If you as a restaurateur want to be on the safe side, you can also put our drinking straws in hot water, as they can withstand up to 200 degrees Celsius. Since water at 56 degrees Celsius is usually not used for hand washing, we would recommend that you take our drinking straws with you after cleaning Pour boiling water over them and the ideal cleanliness is guaranteed!

According to Robert Koch Institute, the transmission of the corona virus can occur via droplet infection and through the air. As with other flu-like diseases, a distance of 1.5 m from other people can prevent spread. Being close to other people is more likely to increase the risk, rather than touching hands or surfaces, which should nevertheless not be completely ignored. (D.Rather). It doesn't hurt to clean doorknobs and other frequently touched surfaces regularly. However, all previous corona infections have happened via the air as a droplet infection. Robert Koch Institute  With or without a HALM, caution and consideration are required in order to prevent the virus from spreading and not to infect other people.

In summary: Using HALM drinking straws does not increase the risk of infection!
