You don't need to clean our glass straws before using them for the first time. They arrive at your home already cleaned. 

Cleaning our HALM glass straws is super easy, as they are completely dishwasher-safe. Simply put them in the cutlery basket of your dishwasher or, alternatively, place them on the prongs.

If you don't have a dishwasher, you can quickly rinse your straws with the enclosed brush. Just hold them under running water and use a little washing-up liquid. Then let them dry standing upright.

Thanks to the transparent glass, you can always see whether everything is hygienically clean.

In two minutes around 20 HALM glass drinking straws can be cleaned and polished.

The handy and sturdy brush is 12 inch (30 cm) long with a 12 cm long handle. It was designed by us to fit the glass straw perfectly. The brush delivers sparkling results in no time.

Ergänzung: Funktionalität einwandfrei, angegebene Reinigungsdauer jedoch doch etwas länger

Zu meiner vorherigen Bewertung möchte ich gerne ergänzen, dass oben im Bild zu sehen ist, dass man gleich mehrere Halme für die Reinigung in die Hand nehmen kann. In diesem Fall sind sechs Sekunden pro Halm natürlich realistischer. Zwar bleibt für mich auch dann etwas fraglich, ob man wirklich auf sechs Sekunden kommen kann, allerdings möchte ich dennoch gerne zu meiner Bewertung den abgezogenen Stern nachträglich ergänzen.

Die Profi-Reinigungsbürsten habe ich neben den Glashalmen mit den normalen Reinigungsbürsten geschenkt bekommen. Ich kann zwar bestätigen, dass die Profi-Reinigungsbürsten in ihrer Funktionalität einwandfrei sind, ein Stern-Abzug aber trotzdem deswegen, weil die hier angegebene Reinigungsdauer von nur zwei Minuten für 20 Halme etwas zu sportlich zu sein scheint. Pro Halm bedeutet dies ja nämlich eine Reinigungsdauer von nur sechs Sekunden (!). Alleine weil das Greifen und anschließende Ablegen der Halme schon einige Sekunden dauert, können sechs Sekunden pro Halm nicht hinkommen.
Ansonsten sind die Profi-Reinigungsbürsten aber, wie schon gesagt, einwandfrei. Eine bessere Lösung als diese Bürsten für die Reinigung der Halme gibt es ja ohnehin nicht.

Zunächst einmal freut es uns sehr, dass dich unsere Profi Reinigungsbürste in ihrer Funktionalität überzeugt hat!
Im Hinblick auf die Reinigungsdauer ist es durchaus verständlich, dass dir die Reinigung von 20 HALM Glastrinkhalmen in 2 Minuten zunächst etwas sportlich erscheint, kann dir aber versichern, dass dies möglich ist.
Natürlich benötigst du bei der erstmaligen Reinigung vielleicht etwas länger, da du mit dem Gebrauch der Reinigungsbürste noch nicht allzu vertraut bist. Bei einer täglichen Reinigung von mehreren HALM Glastrinkhalmen, wie es beispielsweise in der Gastronomie üblich ist, bekommt man beim Reinigen Routine und wird dadurch schneller. Für eine noch Zeit effizientere Reinigung kannst du mehrere HALM Glastrinkhalme auf einmal in die Hand nehmen und diese nacheinander reinigen, so verringert sich die von dir beschriebene Greif- und Ablege-Zeit der Glastrinkhalme um ein vielfaches.

Ich versichere dir, dass auch du mit diesem Tipp und etwas Übung schon bald 20 HALM Glastrinkhalme in 2 Minuten mit unserer Profi-Bürste reinigen kannst :-)

Die beste Lösung zur Reinigung ist immer noch im Besteckkorb der Spülmaschine. Hast du das schon ausprobiert?

How sturdy are HALM straws?

Quality and safety are our top priority. Using HALM straws guarantees you a safe and comfortable drinking experience.

Are HALM straws dishwasher-safe?

Our glass withstands temperatures from -40 to +200 degrees. Cleaning in the dishwasher is therefore no problem at all. We recommend placing them upright in the cutlery basket so that your HALM straws get rinsed through properly.

Don't have a dishwasher at home? Then you can simply clean your HALM straws with our plastic-free cleaning brush, which is included with every set. If you need more, you can easily order additional cleaning brushes or our professional brush in our webshop.

What temperatures can HALM straws withstand?

Our special HALM glass withstands temperatures from -40°C to +200°C. It conducts temperatures rather than taking them on directly, which means there is less risk of burns with our HALM. Whether latte macchiato or strawberry mojito - with our HALM straws you can enjoy both hot and ice-cold drinks. How long does shipping take for a custom-engraved order?

Thanks to our fast production team, you can expect the same delivery time for custom-engraved orders as for standard sets.

We usually hand your order over to the relevant shipping provider within 1-3 working days (exception: for bank transfer in advance, after receipt of payment). As soon as your order leaves our warehouse, you will receive an automatic shipping confirmation with all the relevant information.

Within Germany, you can expect a delivery time of 1-4 working days from the shipping confirmation. If you need it faster, we recommend our express shipping. Please note that we have no influence on how busy Deutsche Post and DHL are. So it's fingers crossed for a speedy delivery.
